About Women at Work
Women at Work is a national workplace initiative founded and led by Michelle Boundy, a nationally recognised expert in workplace safety, wellbeing and culture. With more than 30 years of public sector leadership and over 20 years specialising in workplace health, safety, wellbeing and culture, Michelle brings extensive experience in understanding how workplace systems, leadership and organisational culture shape the experiences of workers.
She has designed and implemented award-winning wellbeing programs across government, receiving Regional, State and National recognition for her contribution to workplace health and safety. Michelle is also the National Ambassador for the Workplace Health & Safety Show and was recognised as a 2026 Champion of Safety State Finalist. As Founder of She Inspires Me Australia and host of She Has the Courage to Lead, Michelle works alongside Government leaders, Commissioners, workplace experts and organisations across Australia to educate, influence and drive meaningful workplace change.

Women at Work was created in response to the workplace challenges that continue to affect women's safety, wellbeing, participation, progression and leadership. The initiative brings greater focus to the systems, cultures and practices that shape women's everyday experiences at work — recognising that meaningful change requires more than individual resilience or policies alone.

Influencing Change Through Leadership and Collaboration
Women at Work brings together Government, business, industry, workplace leaders and women themselves to create meaningful conversations and practical solutions. Michelle actively engages with Ministers, Commissioners and senior leaders to understand the challenges women face, highlight emerging workplace issues and champion the work being undertaken to improve women's safety, wellbeing and participation across Australia. The focus is not simply on identifying problems — it is about education, prevention, leadership, advocacy and action.
From Awareness to Action
Women at Work operates as a workplace advisory, advocacy and education platform, supporting organisations to create safer, more respectful, inclusive and high-performing workplaces.
Through speaking, education, leadership engagement, resources, advocacy and collaboration, Women at Work seeks to:

Aligned With the NSW Women’s Strategy
Women at Work and She Inspires Me have been developed in alignment with the NSW Women’s Strategy 2023–2026, supporting its broader vision for improved safety, wellbeing, opportunity and participation for women and girls. Through education, advocacy, leadership engagement and community connection, the initiatives contribute to stronger outcomes for women both in the workplace and across the broader community.
Because creating better workplaces for women requires more than awareness.
It requires leadership.
