She Inspires Me

Australia

We're searching for Australia’s most inspiring women.

Who are they, what do they do and why are they inspiring?

They are our pillars of the community, pioneer change, and unsung heroes. They are role models who challenge inequality, innovate and inspire.

We celebrate women's contributions and achievements in our community on our social media and website. You can find out more about this initiative here.

#tellyourstory

Our #tellyourstory campaign focuses on social issues impacting women in our community, we explore their experiences and the challenges they face within our society.

According to the Australian Government, this may include negative life experiences such as discrimination, violence, unemployment, and isolation, impacting women's mental health and wellbeing. Unequal economic and social conditions can also contribute to a higher risk of depression.

The #tellyourstory initiative is about an open and honest conversation about the challenges women face in our community. If you have a story about overcoming diversity, we would love to hear it.

Your story could empower and provide hope to other women in a similar situation, drive change in our community, and influence Government at the State and National level.

You can submit your story here.

Our Founder

Our story begins with our founder Michelle Boundy who has been working in Government for over 30 years supporting our community’s most vulnerable people. She is highly regarded and respected across Government and has won multiple awards for her WHS and Wellbeing Projects and advocating for kinder and safer workplaces. Outside of her role in Government Michelle has been a strong advocate for young people and it was through this work she was endorsed as the Integral Community Kindness Champion for the Stay Kind Foundation.

On International Women’s Day in March 2023, Michelle launched She Inspires Me which celebrates the contributions and achievements women make in our community. Her #tellyourstory initiative is about overcoming diversity and the challenges women face within our society. Since March 2023 Michelle has traveled all over Australia meeting hundreds of women and sharing thousands of stories. You can read our full story here
