Our Story

About Our Founder

Our story begins with Michelle Boundy, a trailblazer in workplace safety, wellbeing, and culture. With over 30 years of distinguished service in government and more than 20 years as a nationally recognized Subject Matter Expert and Speaker, Michelle has shaped the landscape of workplace wellbeing in Australia. Her visionary leadership has driven the design and implementation of two groundbreaking wellbeing programs across separate government sectors, earning regional, state, and national awards while improving the lives of thousands of workers. Beyond her professional achievements, Michelle is a force for positive change in the community. In 2020, she was appointed Integral Community Kindness Champion for the Stay Kind Foundation, promoting harm reduction from bullying, violence, and suicide through acts of kindness. She spearheaded initiatives such as the 50 Walks Project, 50 Hearts Project, and Bathers Way 50, inspiring widespread community engagement. Michelle’s impact was formally recognized with a special mention in the NSW Parliament in 2022. That same year, she created and led The Elephant in the Room, raising over $26,000 for Lifeline and bringing national attention to urgent mental health needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2023, Michelle founded She Inspires Me, a movement dedicated to celebrating women’s achievements and empowering them to share their journeys through the Tell Your Story initiative. Since its launch, Michelle has amplified the voices of hundreds of women, inspiring thousands globally. Building on this momentum, she launched the She Has the Courage to Lead podcast, featuring conversations with some of Australia’s most influential leaders, including Ministers and Commissioners. Michelle continued her commitment to workplace equity in 2024 by creating Women at Work, an initiative focused on educating, empowering, and elevating women in government. Her advocacy and thought leadership have earned her recognition as a LinkedIn Top Voice in Workplace Safety, with over 32,000 followers, positioning her as a sought-after speaker on safe, inclusive, and high-performing workplaces. In 2026, Michelle was appointed National Work, Health and Safety Show Ambassador and was recognized as a State Finalist for the Champions in Safety Awards in Queensland. Through her relentless dedication, Michelle continues to inspire a national movement that empowers women, champions workplace equity, and fosters a culture of courage, kindness, and meaningful change.
